> COVID-19 Event Cancellation

As of 8/18/20

After much deliberation and the continual monitoring of local and national health ordinances, we regret to inform you that we are officially cancelling CIGARfest 2020.
CIGARfest is our favorite weekend of the year, and we know it is a highlight on the calendar for many members of CI Nation as well. Unfortunately, in accordance with our state’s policies we can’t safely hold the event and adhere to the guidelines.
In regards to your ticket, we have the following two options available:
  1. Cancel your ticket and receive a refund.
  2. Transfer your ticket to CIGARfest 2021.

If you decide to cancel your ticket, your refund will be processed on or about 08/30/2020.

Please see your email for further instructions on how to cancel or transfer your ticket.

> Tickets & Upgrades

How do I purchase tickets?

General Admission, VIH (Very Important Herfer), and CIGARnut tickets will all be available for sale on Saturday, February 1st, 2020, beginning promptly at 2pm ET. Tickets always sell out (very) quickly, so act fast.

 

For your convenience, there are two ways to purchase CIGARfest 2020 tickets:

  2. Online through Eventbrite:

    Online ticket sales this year will be handled through Eventbrite. We highly recommend signing up for an account and pre-loading your information before February 1st, 2020 at 2pm to expedite your checkout process. Tickets are limited to four per person. Your tickets will be digitally delivered to your registered email address within 24 hours of your purchase and can be presented digitally or through a physical printed copy at the door for entrance. Note: You must present your ticket to enter CIGARfest 2020.

  3. Phone Orders:

    Unfortunately, we will not be taking orders over the phone for CIGARfest moving forward. Please update your plans accordingly, and be sure to visit your local PA CI Super-Store on February 1st, or sign up for an Eventbrite account ASAP to secure your CIGARfest experience.

When will my credit card be charged?

Eventbrite will charge your card at the time of ticket purchase. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 1st, 2020, beginning promptly at 2pm ET.

When will I receive my tickets?

Tickets are being handled through Eventbrite and are completely digital. You can print your ticket from your email or show your email on your phone at the door.

When will I receive my official CIGARfest Shirt and/or Hat?

Shirt & hat upgrades will begin shipping in mid-September.

What if I forget my tickets?

Do what you have to do to ensure that you bring your ticket. If that means they’re stapled to your forehead, then do it. For entry, a TICKET IN HAND (DIGITAL OR PHYSICAL) IS REQUIRED. NO TICKET, NO ENTRY.

What cigars are included with a ticket purchase?

We can’t provide a comprehensive list of the specific cigars included with your ticket. What is included with your ticket purchase… is a humidor filled with 30 premium cigars. You’ll also receive a coupon booklet that you’ll use to redeem a cigar from each of the exhibiting cigars manufacturers. There are over 50 cigar giants who exhibit each year. That means the purchase of a ticket includes over 80 delicious premium handmade cigars.

What’s this “upgrade” business all about?

CIGARfest is already epic on its own. Add one or more of our upgrade events to your ticket, and your cup will run over with cigar goodness. Each upgrade entitles you to enter exclusive, ticket-only events that will put all other cigar events to shame. Indeed, event upgrades secure you a spot in the unmissable event of your choice – but act fast, tickets are extremely limited and guaranteed to go quick.

> Tailgating & Parking

Is tailgating permitted?

While it’s absolutely fine to hang out and enjoy a cigar, we ask you not to erect a palatial resort to do so. Canopies are not overly encouraged and need to be staked or weighted. Any set up should not inhibit vehicular traffic or pose a hazard to any/all guests. Only use of propane grills will be allowed. No open flames of any sort will be permitted. All tailgate set ups are subject to the approval of Split Rock Security.

How’s the parking at CIGARfest?

Due to the high volume of cars at CIGARfest events, shuttles will be running to each of the participating CIGARfest hotels. These shuttles will run on a schedule during event hours (Thursday 11am-9pm ET, Friday 8am-12:00am ET and Saturday 8am-8pm ET). We suggest leaving your car in your hotel parking spot and taking the shuttle to any events. There is also a shuttle throughout the locations at Split Rock Resort.

Can I bring an RV?

Yes, however, all RV overnight parking must register with Split Rock Resort. RV guests will be provided two spaces within the slope-side parking lot. No dumping stations, electric, or potable water will be provided. Only use of propane gas grills will be allowed. Spaces will be free, however potential fines will be given to polluters. Do you know any hotels in the area?

There are plenty of overnight options in the CIGARfest area. A list of preferred hotels can be found on the Plan Your Trip page.

Do I need to change my hotel reservation since the date of the event has changed?

If you’ve made a hotel reservation, please contact the hotel directly to change the dates or cancel the reservation.

Will there be any changes to the event?

We will not be making any changes to the event. If circumstances change and require that we make changes, we’ll be sure to communicate them in a timely manner.

CIGARfest is two days – what does that mean?

CIGARfest main events will be held both Friday, October 16th, 2020 and Saturday, October 17th, 2020. Anyone can purchase up to 4 tickets but must select which day (of the two) they wish to attend. The same cigars, manufacturers, vendors, and activities will be offered during both events. If you have trouble deciding which day to attend, consider the following: Friday has the added bonus of being first, but Saturday gets points for finishing the show. Not sure if that helps or not.

Where can I have a cigar at CIGARfest?

In short, almost everywhere. Cigars are allowed anywhere on the CIGARfest show floor and in event tents. Cigars are also allowed at any outdoor venue, and at various locations inside Split Rock Resort. Check with the front desk clerk at check-in to verify if your hotel room is designated as a ‘smoking room.’ There are a handful of rooms at our hotels that do offer smoke-friendly rooms. We ask that you don’t smoke in hallways, lobbies, and rooms that are specifically designated as non-smoking.

Can I exit and re-enter CIGARfest?

All ticket holders must enter through the main entrance tent to receive their entry items, including their humidor, cigar coupon booklet (you only get one, so don’t lose it!), and shirt and hat-wearer items. This tent is only for initial entry. If you wish to exit and re-enter once you’ve made it to the show floor, please use the door by the info booth/game room entrance. A wrist band will be provided and is mandatory for re-entry.

What if I lose something at CIGARfest?

All lost and found items during CIGARfest event hours will be turned into the info booth located across from the main CIGARfest store and next to the tent entrance. Items can also be returned or picked up in the Split Rock Galleria hotel lobby registration desk.

Can I bring outside food and beverage into the festival?

Coolers, bottles, and outside food are not permitted at CIGARfest. The festival does provide each ticket holder a free lunch and free bottled water. Beer and liquor samples are provided, and other drinks are available for purchase at modest prices.

What if it rains?

All CIGARfest activities will be held rain or shine. CIGARfest main events are all either indoors or under tents.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes. Cameras are allowed and encouraged at CIGARfest. There will be plenty of exciting, photo-worthy moments that you’ll want to immortalize and others (typically later in the evening) which you’ll want to forget. So please, use your camera responsibly.

Do the shirt and hat wearer goods change each day?

No, the items you receive with your CIGARfest shirt and hat are the same for each of the events – Friday and Saturday. The shirts and hats for each day are differentiated by their color, but the FREEBIES you receive are exactly the same.

Is there an age restriction at CIGARfest?

Every ticket holder at CIGARfest must be 21 years of age and have valid ID to prove their age. Valid ID includes driver’s license, passport, state-issued ID, and military ID only.

Can I bring a group to CIGARfest?

While we enjoy large groups of cigar enthusiasts at CIGARfest, we are only able to sell 4 tickets per person. No group rates apply to ANY CIGARfest tickets.

If you’re planning on attending with a group, we highly recommend printing your tickets, or giving digital copies to each entrant. Note, a ticket will only be able to be scanned once, and you must be present to scan your ticket. So, if one guy at the beginning of your group has all the tickets, he’s going to need to leave the fest and re-enter to get all the stragglers.

What goes on at CIGARfest other than the main expo?

A lot! There are many other events that take place between Thursday, October 15th, 2020 and Sunday, October 18, 2020. Visit the schedule page for a complete list of events each day.

What originally started as a small customer appreciation event has now grown into the largest consumer cigar event in the country! Each year, 6,000 of CI Nation’s biggest enthusiasts descend upon Split Rock, PA, for a weekend of debauchery, shenanigans, and of course, great cigars. With all of the industry’s best and brightest in attendance, you’d be doing yourself a serious disservice by not joining the party.

Entering its 17th year, CIGARfest is an absolute blast and a must-attend event for anyone who’s ever enjoyed a cigar. And it ain’t just for fun – throughout the nearly two decades of CIGARfest’s reign, we’ve raised tens of thousands of dollars to benefit the charitable groups Cigars for Warriors (a group that helps supply cigars to vets and military personnel actively deployed) and LifePath (a service group dedicated to people needing specialized support).
